Role: Lead Designer
JHA Architecture was appointed as Lead Designer for the delivery of a new petrol filling station in Winsford, providing a modern fuelling facility designed to support the growing needs of the local community while enhancing the site's commercial offering.
Working closely with the client, planning consultants, engineers, specialist designers and contractors, the project was delivered through RIBA Stages 0–7, from initial feasibility and planning through to construction, completion and site oversight.

Design Approach
The development was carefully designed to maximise operational efficiency while creating a safe, accessible and welcoming environment for customers. The scheme incorporates fuel dispensing facilities, a convenience retail unit, canopy, forecourt infrastructure, car parking, landscaping and associated service areas within a coordinated site layout.
Particular attention was given to vehicle circulation, pedestrian safety and compliance with current industry standards, enabling the development to operate efficiently while retaining flexibility for future operational requirements.
Operational Impact
The completed petrol filling station provides a modern, efficient and reliable facility for local motorists and the wider community. The carefully planned layout supports smooth vehicle movement, reduces congestion and improves the customer experience.
Throughout construction, JHA Architecture coordinated the multidisciplinary design team, administered the construction contract and carried out site inspections to help ensure the project was delivered safely and in line with the client's operational and commercial objectives.
