Project Overview
An existing dormer bungalow in Doncaster was extended to provide a hydrotherapy room and dedicated therapy space, together with ancillary facilities and changing and showering areas.
The project also involved significant internal modifications to improve access throughout the property and provide additional bedroom accommodation and specialist bathroom facilities.
Hydrotherapy & Therapy Space
The extension created purpose-designed accommodation for hydrotherapy and therapy use, providing a dedicated hydrotherapy pool alongside therapy space and the supporting rooms required for day-to-day use.
Specialist Facilities
Additional accommodation included changing and showering facilities, a plant room, circulation space, a bedroom and a specialist bathroom, creating an integrated arrangement around the needs of the property.
Improved Accessibility
Significant alterations were made within the original bungalow to improve accessibility and provide more suitable bedroom and bathroom accommodation.
Hoisting was provided throughout the property as part of the specialist accessibility provision.
Project Outcome
The completed scheme combines a substantial extension with extensive internal adaptation, bringing hydrotherapy, therapy, accessible circulation and specialist living facilities together within the existing residential property.
