Canalside Warehouse, Wharf Road, Retford

JHA Architecture were appointed by RSIB Holdings Ltd to prepare a scheme for the refurbishment and conversion of a derelict warehouse located by the Chesterfield Canal in Retford to form six mews type dwellings over three floors.

The building was in reasonable structural repair but the roof and interior had suffered from water penetration. A completely new interior was provided with new roof and careful sub division of the internal space allowed each dwelling to feature one of the newly restored oak king post trusses within the living room area.
